Bell Tent Set Up Steps
Setup
- Select a flat campsite. Remove the tent from its carton and lay it out flat on the ground.
- Use the small ground stakes to secure the PVC groundsheet to the ground, inserting them one by one.
- Tie the guy ropes to the loops located along the tent’s eaves, attaching them sequentially.
- Assemble the central support pole. From inside the tent, align the pole with the tent’s apex and use it to raise the tent structure.
- Assemble the door poles. First, use the pole tips to lift and support the door opening; then, insert the base of each door pole into the corresponding loop located along the tent’s base.
- Pull the guy ropes taut and secure them using the large ground stakes.
Packing Up
- First, remove the large ground stakes (the ropes may remain attached to the tent). Next, remove all the support poles. Finally, remove the small ground stakes.
- Lay the tent fabric out flat over the entire groundsheet. Fold the tent as shown in the accompanying diagram. (If conditions permit, you may fold the tent fabric and the groundsheet separately—using the same folding method for both—to prevent the tent fabric from becoming soiled.)
- Finally, place the folded tent into the carrying bag. (If the folded tent remains somewhat bulky, the ground stakes and poles may be packed separately.)
